Insomniafm Abstracts is, as the name suggests, a brand new deep house label. For their debut EP they’ve signed the talents of fellow world wide artists. This new EP features four tracks by John D — first off is Peaceful Mind, a minimalistic, deep house track that rolls in with an airy, space-like feel to it underpinned by a repeated vibes. Soon it builds into a more funky track, with a strong beat and plenty of uplifting melodic notes. Kaiser Gayser comes with an instrumental and the piano.. It plays like an ode to the jackin’ house of years gone by, informed by his years of experience in the music game and adds an extra layer to the track and really makes it feel like an authentic old school house track. Dynamic Duo remix has a laid back groove though it ambles along with purpose. The snare kicks the track along at a reasonable pace while various warm sounds join the bouncing bassline at different intervals helping it to grow into a symphony of melodies.
